Hortor Continues Global Expansion with Malaysian Appointment

We are pleased to announce that we are continuing to deliver on our ambitious five-year plan towards becoming a £100m turnover business with the appointment of Hassan Mirza as Contracts Manager in Malaysia.

Working to expand our operations in the APAC region, Hassan’s new role will see him manage a team of expert consultants working throughout South East Asia. He will ensure that client projects are delivered on time with all requirements met, no matter how complex the brief.

Hassan’s duties will also contribute towards supporting the entire Hortor Group and our network of additional offices in Leeds, London, Slovakia, North America and Costa Rica.

Before joining our Malaysian office, Hassan entered the industry in 2003 and has since gained valuable experience contracting on multiple client sites across the globe. Here, Hassan managed different parts of the recruitment and onboarding process for clients.

Hassan’s appointment reinforces our position as a global recruiter in the digital, IT and tech sector, while also providing bespoke managed services.

Hassan Mirza, Contracts Manager at Hortor, comments: “With 17 years of industry experience, I have gained a valuable insight into the global marketplace, and more importantly, how it is evolving. It is absolutely vital for companies in this sector to recognise these developments, and this is exactly what Hortor has done.

“The business’ innovative and progressive approach is unrivalled in the industry, and after working with Hortor’s Financial Director Kevin Bailey, I saw first-hand the ambition and vision of the senior team.

“I knew I could make a significant contribution towards Hortor’s global operations, so joining the business was an easy decision for me. I am certainly looking forward to helping Hortor become more established in this part of the world.”

Joint CEO of Hortor, Andy Roe, comments: “Hortor has experienced rapid growth in the last few years, this is set to continue. Our ambition has always been to become a global player within the industry, but we realise this can only be achieved by surrounding ourselves with the right people.

“Although entering new markets can often lead to many logistical and operational challenges, we wanted to put ourselves in a position to deliver our services to the highest of standards from the very beginning.

“Hassan’s previous experience made him the perfect candidate to take on this responsibility and we are confident that his ability to deliver on the global stage will help Hortor’s APAC operation become a great success.”
